History

Silver mining camp supporting the Guston-Robinson, Yankee Girl, and Genessee-Vanderbilt mines. Population grew to 300 by 1890. Panic of 1893 saw most mines abandoned. The Idarado Mine continued producing gold and zinc into the 1960s.
